Working on a full back piece with Nico
Nico was a client who became a friend, what a lovely nice guy to work with. We do get a lot of really nice clients, however Nico was on another level. Me and Nico got along so well that I started to do a podcast, and he was my first guest. In this blog I would like to focus on his tattoo. And the work on a separate blog for his podcast.
Nico is a very nice and bright guy. He speaks from his heart with honesty, that’s why I find easy to speak to him. And he’s that sort of guy who you can say anything to him, about any subject and with an open mind, he is able to debate about any subject, witch it makes me really happy to see him. I love speaking to open minded people, who don’t limit themselves with their beliefs and explore every point of view with an open mind.
When Nico requested me to tattoo a full back piece, I was really exited. He wants a Greek Mythology themed Tattoo, so I was really up for doing that. Specially being on Nico, who I like to spend time with, it would really help with the fact that we get on, the good vibes with come naturally, and that with affect the outcome of the tattoo.
A full back tattoo, is an opportunity to show your skills, and have the opportunity to do a striking piece. I remember when I began tattooing, every time I saw a full back piece, it used to give that wow effect on me, and I believe that’s due to the back being the largest area of the human body that can be tattooed.
Doing a full back tattoo is being able to show all your skills, everything you have been learning and explore all the space you have with a full back in order to deliver a striking piece of art.
We haven’t planned the full back piece yet, but we have planned half of it on photoshop and I’m so happy, because Nico is not worrying about the final result, he’s letting it flow, and when you let it flow that’s when your tattoo looks really organic and genuine. Instead of worrying so much about how it’s going to look like, it ends up not looking the best end product in the end, because it was not a natural process. Having clients like Nico is a blessing, I have had so many great experiences with clients. The positive definitely overcomes the negative, it leaves no space for it really, that’s why I focus on the greater side of the experiences I have.
